Alan C. North
Founder & CEO, KetoMed Nutraceuticals
Alan C. North is a health, nutrition, fitness, media, and nutraceutical entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience at the intersection of weight loss, metabolism, television, direct response media, and consumer health education.
A Front-Row Education
Alan’s career began in Dallas at age 20, working alongside his older brother, Larry North, one of the most recognized fitness personalities in America during the 1990s and early 2000s. Larry built Larry North Fitness health clubs, authored bestselling fitness books, hosted a popular radio show, and created the successful Great North American Slim Down television infomercial. Alan gained an early, front-row education in fitness, weight loss, media, supplementation, and how to communicate health information effectively to a mainstream audience.
During that time, Alan became one of Dallas’ top personal trainers and was featured in Vogue magazine as one of America’s top personal trainers. His path soon moved from the gym floor to national television. In the early 1990s, he became one of the first successful on-air fitness and weight-loss presenters on Shop At Home Network.
Televised Retail Pioneer
In 1996, Alan founded WeightPerfect Products, one of the earliest weight-loss supplement brands built specifically for televised retail. The brand grew successfully on Shop At Home and ShopNBC before evolving into a joint venture with ProCaps Laboratories and Andrew Lessman on HSN. From 2000 through 2004, with Alan as the on-air spokesman, WeightPerfect became one of the most successful weight-loss supplement brands in HSN history.
Along the way, Alan earned an associate degree in nutrition science through the American Academy of Nutrition. He also acquired and operated five women’s health clubs across Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas before both the product company and club business were acquired.
Building KetoMed
After WeightPerfect, Alan consulted with health, wellness, supplement, and media companies. While working in health-based television and identifying nutraceutical products for national sponsorship, he began developing what would become KetoMed Nutraceuticals.
Founded in 2015, KetoMed Nutraceuticals is unique in that the company, brand, and sole product all share the same name. After years of research into ketogenic nutrition, metabolism, and clean ingredients, Alan created KetoMed as what he believes to be the world’s first complete ketogenic nutraceutical drink. Originally researched as a potential medical-food-style product, the company ultimately chose to make KetoMed available as a direct-to-consumer nutritional supplement to avoid the barriers of prescription requirements, insurance complications, and mandatory medical supervision.
Since its launch, KetoMed has reached thousands of loyal customers across all 50 states and multiple countries. Alan has personally represented KetoMed through national and regional television, shopping networks, health-based programming, podcasts, and radio.
The Vision for Nutrient TV
After decades of presenting health products across television and other platforms, Alan saw a widening gap between what millions of Americans were experiencing in real life and what much of mainstream health media was willing to discuss. Rising rates of obesity, diabetes, inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction created a clear demand for more honest conversations about food, faith, fitness, supplements, and personal responsibility.
That gap is why he created Nutrient TV.
Nutrient TV is built around truth, transparency, and faith. It is an alternative health media platform designed to discuss nutrition, fitness, supplements, metabolic health, biohacking, natural wellness, and faith-based living without being controlled by Big Pharma, Big Food, Big Sugar, Big Insurance, or outside supplement sponsors.
Through Nutrient TV, Alan’s mission is simple: help people live well, feel well, and be well by giving them access to health conversations that are honest, useful, faith-centered, and free from the influence of the same industries that often profit when people stay sick.
